Phil Robertson, of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” fame, endorsed Ted Cruz for president on Wednesday, and they went duck hunting together in a new ad.

U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock’s endorsement of the Republican presidential candidate came a day later.

Just a news release, sans camo pants.

“This election is too important to leave to chance,” McClintock, R-Elk Grove, said in a prepared statement. “Ted Cruz is the only top tier candidate we can be absolutely certain will govern conservatively and constitutionally; who will stand his ground no matter what the pressure and articulate our positions boldly and convincingly to the American people.”

McClintock’s endorsement of Cruz follows one from Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Costa Mesa.

Reps. Jeff Denham, Mimi Walters and David Valadao have all endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, while Rep. Doug LaMalfa, R-Richvale, is backing Marco Rubio.
