All campuses in the Robla Elementary School District are under law enforcement investigation Friday morning after a bomb threat was emailed to district administrators about 4:30 a.m.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad and Sacramento Police Department personnel swept the district’s six schools — Bell Avenue Elementary, Glenwood Elementary, Main Avenue Elementary, Taylor Street Elementary, Robla Elementary and Robla Preschool — before classes began, said Sgt. Vance Chandler, SPD spokesman.
No suspicious items were found as of 8 a.m. and classes began as scheduled, though police will remain at the scene throughout the day. It was not known whether the person who made the threat had any connection to the school district.
Each of the schools are within the same neighborhood north of Interstate 80 by Bell Avenue.
