Elk Grove police are asking the community's help in identifying two men suspected of spray-painting hate-related graffiti at an apartment complex early Thursday morning.

Police released surveillance photos Friday of two men who are believed to have vandalized several buildings at the Emerald Garden Apartments, 9521 Emerald Park Drive, about 1:40 a.m. Thursday, according to a Police Department news release. Officers took photos of the graffiti, and the apartment management company arranged to have it covered up later that day.

Police said detectives believe the individuals shown in the surveillance photos were involved in at least two other graffiti incidents at the same location.

Anyone with information regarding the cases is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Communications Center at 916-714-5115 or Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357. Those who call Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Tips also can be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES, or 274637, on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 and the message.
