Dale Schornack’s 20-year run with Channel 10 is over.

The longtime anchor had his final broadcast for Sacramento’s ABC affiliate Thursday evening when he led the 6 p.m. news.

“Best friends forever,” Schornack said before hugging co-anchor Cristina Mendonsa, who’s also leaving the network.

Channel 10 reporter Frances Wang shared Schornack’s goodbye to his colleagues on Twitter.

“It’s not goodbye, I’m just going to be working down the street,” said Schornack, who said he’ll be working for the department of health. He joked about calling in assignments in his new role.

Mendonsa will have her last broadcast with Channel 10 on Friday, as confirmed in a response on Twitter.

Dale today, me tomorrow :)
