S&W Seed Co., whose agricultural products are circulated worldwide, has moved its corporate offices to Sacramento.
About a dozen managers and employees in administration, finance, marketing and sales are now working out of offices at 106 K St., in Old Sacramento.
The company moved management operations from Hanford in Kings County.
Officials said proximity to the extensive UC Davis agricultural programs and Sacramento’s centralized location as a transportation hub figured into the move and management consolidation.
S&W said it will continue to maintain existing operations in Fresno County’s Five Points, where seed production and processing are done; Nampa, Idaho, site of newly constructed research and development facilities; and Arlington, Wis., site of alfalfa research and development.
Additionally, S&W will continue to maintain its multiple operations in Australia.
S&W sells its seed products in more than 30 countries worldwide.
